This policy explains what information the Right Route Driving School website (www.rightroutedrivingschool.com) collects and how it is used.
What this website collects
This website has no visitor accounts. The only personal information this website itself asks for is in the call-back form and the partner application, explained next (the older Book page's calendar is Acuity's: see Enrollment below). Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to run and secure the site. We also measure visits with analytics, explained below.
Call-back form
If you ask us to call you back, we collect your name, mobile number, who is learning to drive, the best time to call and any note you add. We use it only to call you back about driver education.
The form is emailed to our school's inbox through our email provider, Resend, which keeps a copy and a delivery record under its own policy. A bot check by Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the form to stop spam and may process your IP address and browser details (Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy). The website itself does not keep a copy; if sending fails, our server's error log keeps who is learning and the last four digits of your number for a short time. We keep the email while we follow up with you. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their marketing.
Partner application
If you apply to partner with us on the Partners page, we collect your organization's name and kind, your name and role, your phone number, your email and any note you add. We use it only to talk with you about working together.
It reaches us the same way as the call-back form: emailed to our school's inbox through Resend, with the same Cloudflare Turnstile bot check. The website itself does not keep a copy; if sending fails, our server's error log keeps only the kind of organization for a short time. We keep the email while we talk with you.
Live chat
While our office is open, the chat button at the bottom of the page can connect you to our staff through Crisp, a live chat service. Crisp loads only after you tap "Chat with us now". From then on Crisp receives what you type, your IP address and browser details and the address of the page you are on, and keeps the conversation so we can answer you, under its own privacy policy (crisp.chat/en/privacy). Please do not send a student's date of birth or documents in the chat: a parent or guardian handles enrollment for a student under 18. To have a chat conversation deleted, email info@rightroutedrivingschool.com.
Limits on requests
To stop the site from being misused, we count requests from each IP address to some of its features for one hour, with our data store provider, Upstash. Each count is kept under a code made from the address, not the address itself, and expires on its own.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, from our hosting provider, to count page views, taps on call and booking links and finished Route Finders (only the program it suggested, never your answers), and to measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies and do not follow you to other sites.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and ads bring people to us. It sets cookies (see below) and records the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example a search, an ad or a link), your general location, your device and browser, and when you tap a call or booking link or finish the Route Finder. Google processes this under its privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and explains how it uses data from sites like ours (how Google uses information from sites that use its services). We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for this site, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences.
You can block Google Analytics with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
When you send the call-back form, analytics records only that a form was sent, the page you sent it from and who is learning; for the partner application, only the kind of organization and the page. Your name, phone number, email and note are never sent to Google or Vercel.
Cookies and storage on your device
This website's own pages set no cookies (our hosting provider may set a security cookie if it has to check that a visitor is not a bot). The pages keep a few small notes in your browser's storage:
- Only while the browser tab is open: how you found us (the page you arrived on, the site that sent you, any campaign tags or ad click ID in the link, and when your visit started), which reaches us only if you ask for a call-back, and a note that the logo animation has played.
- Only if you choose them, until you clear your browser's data: your light or dark color choice, and that you closed an announcement.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies on this site (such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart. They last up to 2 years after your last visit unless you clear them.
Only if you start a live chat: Crisp sets its own cookies on this site (named crisp-client/ followed by an ID) to keep your conversation as you move between pages and when you come back. They last 6 months after your last visit unless you clear them, and Crisp says it does not use them for tracking.
Content from other companies on some pages, such as the embedded map, may set its own cookies, as explained below. Staff who sign in to edit this website get a sign-in cookie; visitors never sign in here.
This website does not change what it does when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Enrollment and student login
The Enroll, Book and Student login buttons open our enrollment system (app.rightroutedrivingschool.com) in a new tab. It is separate from this website: what you enter there (such as the student's name, contact details and payment details) is collected and kept there to handle your enrollment, lessons and payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and its own privacy policy applies. Ask us how the enrollment system handles your information.
This website sends nothing about you to that system.
An older Book page on this website, kept for old links, shows a lesson calendar from Acuity Scheduling. If you use it, the details you enter (such as your name, phone number and email) are collected by Acuity so we can schedule your lesson. Acuity and the services it loads in the calendar (such as Squarespace, Stripe and Google reCAPTCHA) may set cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies. A parent or guardian must book for a student under 18.
Maps
Some pages, such as Contact, show an embedded Google Map of our office. When the map loads, your browser contacts Google, which may set cookies or collect usage data under Google's privacy policy.
The map of our pickup areas (on the home page, the Areas page and each area's page) is drawn from OpenStreetMap data served by OpenFreeMap. On a small screen it loads only when you tap Show map; on a larger screen it loads when it comes into view, on some pages as soon as the page opens. Your browser then fetches the map from OpenFreeMap through its content delivery network; both receive your IP address and browser details, as any website does. OpenFreeMap says it sets no cookies and keeps no IP addresses in its normal logs; the delivery network handles the requests under its own policy.
Reviews
Our Reviews page shows our rating and reviews from Google Maps, with each reviewer's name and photo, and other pages show our Google rating. Our server asks Google for them when a page needs them, and we keep no copy; that request carries nothing about you. So that a visit asks only once, the browser tab keeps a note that it has asked (not the rating). Your browser loads the reviewers' photos from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details (but not the page you came from), under Google's privacy policy.
How we use information you give us
If you call, text or email us, we use what you tell us only to answer you and to provide driver education. We do not sell your information.
See, correct or delete your information
This website keeps no copy of what you send it: a call-back request or a partner application reaches us as an email. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email info@rightroutedrivingschool.com or call (614) 973-8077. We will tell you what we have and delete the call-back email from our inbox if you ask; our email provider's copy expires under its own policy. Your enrollment, lesson and payment records are kept in our enrollment system; send requests about them to the same address.
Changes and questions
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. For questions, email info@rightroutedrivingschool.com or call (614) 973-8077.
