Right Route Driving School offers comprehensive teen driver education programs approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Our Ohio-based programs help teens ages 15+ get their driver’s license safely and confidently. Earn your TIPIC at 15 years, 6 months after you pass the knowledge test.

Complete 24 hours online → certificate emailed → book 8 hours BTW with us (four 2-hour drives) → log 50 hours with parent/guardian (10 night) → hold TIPIC for 6 months → take BMV road & maneuverability test.

Teen Driver Education Requirements

Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Your License

Age 15 Years, 5 Months:

  • Can begin driver education classroom instruction
  • No learner's permit required for classroom portion

Age 15 Years, 6 Months:

  • Eligible to obtain learner's permit at Ohio BMV
